RateGapevery home loan rate lenders publish, compared

Who made this

One person. No lender, no broker, no commission.

I'm Justin Wong. I built this site and I run it. There is no company behind it and nobody else edits it. When a page is wrong, I am the one who fixes it.

What it does

Every morning it reads the home loan rates Australian lenders publish under the Consumer Data Right, from each lender's own feed. Nobody types a rate in. Then it compares the rate you give it against all of them. It says what the difference is, how much of it a phone call to your own lender can close, and how much would take an application. Every lender it reads has a page. The data is free to download, so any number here can be checked against the file, and the file against the lender.

How it is paid for

No lender pays to be listed, ranked or linked, and I earn nothing from what you do after reading a page. The income is an API, sold at A$199 a month to people building software, and a tip jar. That is all of it.

What it will not say

That you will pay less by an amount: variable rates move, and a difference measured today does not last. That a lender would take you, or that it would not: the data says a product is restricted, and nothing about you. Cheapest or best: no badges, no stars, no ranking. It is not advice, and I am not a broker. A broker knows you. This site only knows the rates.

When it is wrong

It has been, in public. The fastest fixes came from a reader naming a lender and a number. The box at the foot of every page reaches me, and so does contact aaaaat justinwong.io. Don't send statements or account numbers; nothing here needs them. What is kept is on the privacy page.
